New Section Officers Elected

Saturday evening, prior to the Concalve Show, the lodges elected new officers for the coming year. Elected as Section Chief was Will Swingle, a member of Nawakwa Lodge; for Section Vice Chief, the lodges elected Chris Nicholas from Tutelo Lodge; as Secretray, the lodges re-elected Martin Clemmer of Shenandoah Lodge. Congratulations are in order for each of these arrowmen.

 Associate Adviser News

Kevin Beazy, our Associate Adviser from Tutelo Lodge has asked to be replaced citing personal time committment issues. A new Associate Adviser was named at the February Council of Chiefs, taking on the responsibilities will be Ben Mathias, a member of Shenshawpotoo Lodge.

 Section Member Appointments

Alex Gomez, the Southern Region Chief has appointed two members of SR-7A to take on responsibilities for the region. Chris Bergtholdt, the 2006 SR-7A Section Chief has been appointed as the Southern Region One Day Coordinator. In addition Michael Clausing the 2005 SR-7A Section Secretary has been appointed as the Editor for the Voice, the Southern Reion OA Newsletter. Congratulations are in order for both of these brothers.

 Southern Region One Day of Service Date Announced

The 2007 ONE DAY OF SERVICE date had been announced, and the target date is October 20th, 2007. One day of service is an opportunity for the lodges through out the Southern Region to perform community service. Now is the time for each lodge to begin it's planning in support of this effort.  New Associate Adviser Named

Saturday at the Council of Chiefs meeting, a new Associate Section Adviser was announced, Kevin Beazy will be filling the position. Kevin is the former Lodge Adviser of Tutelo Lodge from 1997-2004 and is currently a member of the Executive Board of Blue Ridge Mountains Council. Welcome Kevin.

 Section Chief Appointment

At the National planning meeting, held in Dallas, Texas the last part of December, Chris Bergholdt, our Section Chief, was appointed as a Summit Vice Chief for Brotherhood, for the upcoming Conservation and Leadership Summit. To see a list of all of the Summit Vice Chiefs, visit the National Site.

 Lodge Assistance

At the National Council of Chiefs Meeting held during NOAC, the lodges were presented with a PowerPoint Template that can be used for their annual report to the local council. The template is now available for download from the National Site. If you haven't gotten a copy yet, now's the time.
